I haven’t yet been able to find any Carnaval videos with us in them, but I did find a few cool ones of the crazy David Guetta evening in Salvador:
The first is a quick pan-around from one of the balconies, just as he gets started with “The World is Mine.”
Here’s a video taken by someone down in the crowd; it’s one of my other favorite techno songs, “Rise Up.”
If possible, watch it with headphones or decent-quality speakers. I know the quality sucks, but I found that the sound was so tinny on my laptop that I almost couldn’t hear the music over the treble of the crowd’s screams. Which kind of ruined the effect.
This one has a really good view of one of those massive rolling stages starting at about 30 seconds in.
It’s also one of my favorite Guetta tunes – “Love Don’t Let Me Go.”
Photos have been added to the two Carnaval posts:
• Scala Red-Black Ball
• Carnaval
The travellog page has also been fully updated with the new trip “Brazil 2008,” including links to blog articles for each location.
I checked em out! More pics of man flesh than I’d prefer but overall, very entertaining.
