If anyone has ever wondered where I got my adventurous spirit, or my “no pain no gain” attitude, let me tell you:
My dad.
Even though he destroyed his hip and knee in a motorcycle accident over 30 years ago, he’s been hiking, biking, rock climbing, white-water rafting, scuba diving, skiing, and weightlifting ever since. But the active lifestyle has finally caught up with him, leaving him little choice but to undergo a total knee replacement operation.
While I really wish I could be there to take care of him as he’s done for me so many countless times, I’ve been glad to hear that the rest of the family and friends have all been pitching in to lend a hand.
Get well soon, dad. There’s still plenty of mountains left for us to climb together 🙂

I second that! It’s been a tough year all around – you have my support too.
whoa I had no idea he had surgery!!!!! Wish him my best. If he needs anything from a 2nd son, I’m not THAT far away, let me know 🙂
Justin, If your Dad needs help I or Cathy can help out….just let me know….Dean
I’m certain reading you’re note is as good as chicken soup for him…. but don’t EVER tell your Bubbie I said that. Happy New Year!
This was a sappy entry. My keyboard is sticky too…though that’s unrelated.
