I almost forgot to mention:
While I was sitting and chatting with E (see previous post), I mentioned that I’d just recently visited Cairo, his hometown. He asked where I stayed, saying that I should’ve gotten in touch as he just happens to be part-owner of a hostel right in the heart of the city.
A hostel called Lialy.
Talk about a freakin small world!!! In case you don’t recall, I mentioned Lialy specifically in this post as being an almost unusually warm and friendly place to stay. E went on to mention his business partner by name, who I’d met and who spent quite some time trying to help me repair my broken underwater camera.
Seriously. Small world.
making connections all over the world! 🙂 crazy stuff! so i’m thinking of doing an ambitious asia tour in june (japan, korea, china, and thailand)…any suggestions or tips?
