After two long months in the Middle East, I’m home once again. It was a spectacular trip – with more hassles but far fewer logistical problems than Brazil.
Still, I am excited to get home. I haven’t had a haircut in more than 3 months, nor have I done a real workout in two. It’s the longest I’ve been outside of a gym since starting college. I feel like an afro on a stick.
It’s also time to buckle down and get some work done – I’ve got 3 computer jobs that need attention, and while programming on the road sounds nice, in practice it’s virtually impossible to be 100% productive in hostels with slow and unreliable WiFi.
Then, just about two months from now, I’ll be heading home. To my other home. The city that no matter how hard I try, I just can’t get out of my mind.
Kyoto.
Told you I’d be back.
Although I’ve not quite finished blogging on the Middle East, I’m afraid it’s gonna have to be put on hold for the time being – I’ve got probably five months of work to get through in the next two. As always, I’ll try to catch up little by little in any free moments. We’ll see how it goes 🙂
“I feel like an afro on a stick.”……LOL!
i’d sure like to see what an afro on a stock looks like..photo please!
I notice that your time in NYC including my wedding is absent from this enumeration of your recent adventures, and I do not take it personally. See you June 14th hopefully for some In N Out burger.
Hey!!!

Noz is right…..I need some news about something as freaky as noz tying the knot
okaeri
good to hear that you still miss Kyoto 🙂
I also cant wait to read about the rest of the trip in Egypt !
Andy/Aunt V: 😉
Noz/Andy: “Although I’ve only blogged to about halfway through Egypt, I’m afraid it’s gonna have to be put on hold for the time being…I’ll try to catch up little by little” 😛
JingJing: See ya there!
Sayuri: I think a part of me will always miss Kyoto. I’m still debating on whether I should buy a round-trip or one-way ticket for this “visit” 😀
Andy, far more freakier would be hearing that Justin had tied the knot!
