| A short clip of my climb up Hua Shan, one of China's five sacred Taoist mountains and supposedly the most dangerous tourist hike in the world. How could I resist? :) |

Isn’t there a small restaurant at the top? I saw this somewhere recently. Next time, try it while it is raining.
No restaurant at the end of the plank path….and I don’t know if I would do this while it was raining / snowing!
There WERE restaurants at the various peaks though
Just not beyond this particularly treacherous section.
Could you imagine those noodle porters trying to haul their loads over THIS?
Awesome video!!! How secure did those bolts seam? What was the harnessing system?
Harnessing system? You mean the pair of crappy little clips that almost certainly wouldn’t've held us through a total slip, and had to be constantly removed to allow us to proceed down the path?
So what did it feel like, staring down at your own mortality like that?
That’s cra-zee! Yet Justin I’m surprised, no flip flops?
Noz: It was pretty cool
Dan: Well, we expected it to be much, MUCH colder. Started with long underwear and several sweaters…but ended up shedding most of it
Makes you wonder about the crazy dudes who had to build that, cut the stone, plant the stakes and tie the wires. Plus carrying tools and two by fours on their backs.
I know, that is in-SANE.
We did see plenty of old men hauling what must’ve been 100lbs loads of instant noodles up those ultra-steep stairs all day long…not out over the planks, though
