My God, The Inn Crowd is SO much nicer than Prince of Wales! I can’t imagine how the latter gets any business just a couple doors down the street – but I guess that would explain why they had beds available when the former was all booked up :P

While Prince of Wales felt like a bar that’d stuck a few bunks in the attic, this place is a real first-class hostel. They have a huge social lounge, TV with video games and a massive DVD library, full cooking facilities, free breakfast, a knowledgeable staff and a great atmosphere. The social beanbag area is always loaded with people, and even the door has electronic keycard locks. POW didn’t even have a front desk; just the bartenders downstairs and a single toilet shared with the bar. Gross!

Too bad I spent my entire first day fast asleep – but I guess that’s to be expected when you don’t get to bed until 11am ;)

Note: These posts are behind realtime; the above took place on Sunday, February 20th.
