The way Angkor Archaeological Park works is that the whole area – temples, roads, towns, and everything in between – is accessible only by paid admission. You pre-buy a daily ticket, and police are stationed at all the main roads to make sure every non-Cambodian gets it stamped on their way in.
There are however a few exceptions – more remote attractions that require a separate ticket of their own. Yesterday’s visit to Bang Melea was one such exception – so today, my third day of tourism around Siem Reap, actually only counts as day two…
