The way Angkor Archaeological Park works is that the whole area – temples, roads, towns, and everything in between – is accessible only by paid admission. You pre-buy a daily ticket, and police are stationed at all the main roads to make sure every non-Cambodian gets it stamped on their way in.

There are however a few exceptions – more remote attractions that require a separate ticket of their own. Yesterday’s visit to Bang Melea was one such exception – so today, my third day of tourism around Siem Reap, actually only counts as day two…

  1. Wow. I can’t believe you ran that far and up steps in 10 secs, with enough time to sit down. How many tries did that take you?

    • Can’t remember exactly, but quite a few 🙂 I only kept one of the dud photos (where I didn’t make it) – otherwise I already deleted them all 🙂

Thanks for your kind words – and sure, as long as my link is included, that’d be absolutely fine 🙂

I’m back home in Los Angeles now, though to be honest this blog is waaaay out of date already – I’ve added like a dozen countries since my last posting…so I’m hoping to catch up on a bit of writing before the next big holiday, regardless of where it is 😉
